Kugula Fresh & Frozen is a major player in the supply of Horse Mackerel, Tilapia and Processed Sausage to the greater population of Zambia. Founded in July of 2012 on the principles of quality at an affordable price, Kugula Fresh & Frozen has not wavered in it’s quest to provide quality affordable protein to the burgeoning informal sector within the cities of Zambia. Fish is a traditional part of Zambians diet. Compared to many other countries, Zambians have a distinctive preference for fish compared to other forms of essential protein such as beef and chicken. Fish consumption is however low in Zambia at 5,9 kg/person/year. The major cause of this being “lack of production” hence the need for substantial imports by Kugula Fresh & Frozen.
